A new mobile Post Office counter opened at Furness Vale community centre on 9th December 2014. The counter is managed by Tim Boothman, Postmaster from Chapel-en-le-Frith Post Office.

The counter is available from 1:30pm to 4:30pm on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, providing full Post Office counter services for the convenience of local residents. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available during opening hours.

There is also a small shop on the premises, selling essential (and non-essential!) household items.
